SEN. KRUGER PROVIDES EVIDENCE THAT BAY IMAGING RECORDS ARE STILL MISSING IN ACTION

30 Martense Street in Brooklyn – have made a “long, arduous and wasted trip.” The senator has been assisting about 100 former Bay Imaging patients who have come up empty trying to obtain their imaging films.

In response to this and other evidence, the judge told Bay Imaging’s former owner, Dr. Ruben Fleurantin, that he had two weeks to comply with the ruling or he would be thrown in jail.

Following the hearing, Sen. Kruger renewed his call for legislation (S. 5019) he introduced in April that would designate the health commissioner as the administrator of records whenever a facility under the purview of the DOH closes, thereby enabling patients to retrieve their records easily and efficiently. Under Sen. Kruger's bill, the DOH would make copies of all records and develop an archival system.
